Overview

For over 23 years, Resource Corporation of America's employees have been dedicated advocates for hospitals and the patients they serve.  We are looking to add to our team with our opening of an Administrative Assistant/Liens Clerk.  These candidates will not only show superior customer service, but also will possess an inherent ability to recognize the human element of the healthcare profession.

Responsibilities

The Liens Clerk will assist with all administrative needs for the satellite office.  This includes answering phones, scanning, filing, ordering supplies, and assisting with Lien Specialist duties whenever needed. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Answer all incoming calls and when needed, direct calls to correct team member or take messages

 

  • Create, file and organize account folders with all pertinent information for all new accounts

 

  • Scan all patient accounts and correctly attached to correct database accounts

 

  • Greet and assist all visitors and obtain necessary information or documents from visitors

 

  • Check incoming faxes and distribute to correct team members

 

  • Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail

 

  • Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests

 

  • Inventory and order materials, supplies, and services

 

  • Assist any patient/attorney or insurance company with inquiries

 

  • Assist with any Lien Specialist duties that are assigned to you

 

  • Additional clerical duties may be assigned in accordance with the changing of office procedures

 

 

Candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and must be able to multi task while maintaining customer service.

Qualifications

  • Ability to reflect the values of Resource Corporation of America as it pertains to ethics and principles in daily activities.  This includes:

  • Proficient in utilization of appropriate office equipment, including word processing for other clerical functions as assigned

 

  • Utilize equipment and supplies efficiently with maximum cost effectiveness

 

  • Apply basic mathematical skills in fulfilling position responsibilities

 

  • Utilize written and verbal communication skills effectively in interactions with patients, third party payers, and any and all hospital personnel

 

  • In collaboration with supervisors, establish priorities for daily activities

 

  • Ensure that any problems and/or concerns are communicated to your RCA supervisor and/or upper level manager in a timely manner

 

  • Display initiative to see processes through to completion and offer assistance to co-workers without being asked

 

  • Constantly respond to requests in a timely manner

 

  • Maintain awareness of own limitations and seek guidance from appropriate personnel when needed

 

  • Actively participate in departmental committees and group meetings with focus on providing input to improve the quality of services

 

  • Consistently demonstrate behavior that reflects teamwork is more important than self-interest

 

  • Demonstrate interpersonal competencies such as problem-solving negotiation and conflict management

 

  • At least 1 year work experience in an Administrative role

 

  • Experience with both phone and face-to-face Customer Service  

 

  • Demonstrated skill in utilization of office equipment including computers 

 

  • Must be self-motivated, dependable and reliable

 

  • Ability to perform all position responsibilities as indicated above
