The Director is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all operations and relationships at assigned hospital facilities.  This includes revenue, expense and income management, staffing, personnel development and client satisfaction.      


  • Responsible for all internal quality assurance reports to ensure all actions are taken timely and accurately with the purpose of minimizing A/R days 
  • Monitor quality and quantity of referred patients and applications taken to ensure that they are submitted accurately, completely and on a timely basis 
  • Ensure adherence to all DBI policies and procedures by Staff and address variances in process or procedures
  • Provide constructive corrective action to staff as appropriate and needed. All corrective actions must be communicated to Human Resources
  • Complete monthly audits on active inventory
  • Review and approve denials of Referral Accounts Review of denial notes must be documented in Allow.
  • Responsible for the training of new staff as well as ongoing/updated training for current staff
  • On a quarterly basis, review staffing levels and needs and make recommendations to C.O.O. based on changes in volumes, performance, or other factors
  • Responsible for the completion of annual performance reviews on all staff
  • Make recommendations for salary increases to C.O.O. and complete all necessary paperwork for approved increases to be processed
  • In conjunction with the HR department, you will be responsible for the interviewing and hiring process to fill any open positions for your assigned facilities.  Finalize all hiring decisions and offers with C.O.O.
  • Responsible for the completion of new hire packets and any additional pre-employment/on boarding processes for new staff
  • Work with staff to ensure facilities are staffed according to contract requirements
  • Provide coverage for absent staff or staff on extended leave
  • Participate in quarterly facility audits with C.O.O. to ensure all DBI policies, processes, and procedures are being followed
  • Demonstrate successful professional relationships with client/hospital personnel
  • Demonstrate successful professional relationships with client/hospital personnel
  • Proven strong knowledge base of SSA/SSI disability as well as other state and government programs
  • Proven strong organizational and interpersonal skills including time management and prioritization
  • Proven ability to establish a partnership approach with customers/clients/co-workers to accomplish goals and establishing a team management work structure to accomplish performance goals
  • Be prepared to perform duties including call backs, data entry, Home Visits, etc as needed to cover staff who may be absent or behind on assigned duties
  • Ensure that all compliance rules and policies are followed including DBI, Hospital, and HIPAA guidelines
  • Identify and work with staff for the purpose of training and leadership development
  • Mentor staff and encourage ongoing professional growth
  • Maintain positive relationships with Staff that supports DBI management style and structure with the effort of increasing employee satisfaction and reducing turnover
  • Maintain responsibility for the timeliness and accuracy of all Quality Assurance Reporting
  • Assign and/or participate in special projects
  • Ensure timely and accurate month end reporting
  • Participate in assigned company projects
  • In conjunction with C.O.O., identify training needs for the company and work with other DBI locations in developing appropriate training activities and materials
  • Maintain an awareness of assigned facilities costs and provide recommendations to C.O.O. to decrease expense/cost and increase margin
  • Maintain an awareness of quality of service and product and make timely recommendations to C.O.O. of needed revisions to Standard Operating Processes, Reporting, or other items
  • Responsible for identifying growth opportunities for new services to existing clients and work with the C.O.O. and Directors of Business Development to further develop these opportunities


  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience or 4 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role
  • Strong Sales Skills
  • Demonstrated leadership with peers and subordinates that provides a history of positive and appropriate interactions
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment in appropriate use of confidential information and matters related to internal and client business
  • Proven ability to establish qualitative and quantitative performance measure for all employees and experience in providing ongoing feedback
  • Demonstrated skill in utilization of office equipment including computers
  • Must be self-motivated, highly dependable and reliable
  • Ability to perform all position responsibilities as indicated above
